Club
Donations
All the admin team are unpaid volunteers who give their time freely to the club, be that to organize meets, moderate the Facebook group, arrange visits or take care of the many back office roles that members don’t see. However running such a prestigious club of this size does not come without costs, we have website hosting, public liability insurance, copyright protection and providing what you the members see as “free” events.
The club assists members with disputes with Mercedes and rectification of faults that we believe should be covered by the manufacturer. The subframe issue on the R171 is a good example of this. The Club has assisted in the replacement of over 250 subframes free of charge by Mercedes. That’s over a quarter of a million pounds worth of benefit delivered to our members. We don’t believe any other club has the structure or knowledge to achieve such a powerful result from a Manufacturer. The quest still continues with subframes as more issues come to light.
The club is also now helping with claims against delamination of the roof on early R172 models, and rectification of paint defects that has plagued the Fire Opal red color throughout all model ranges. These are just some examples of the benefits of being a member.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and members we bring all of the above to you without charging a membership subscription, unlike other clubs.Ā
If you feel you have benefitted by being a member of the club, be that knowledge gained from the website or members, socializing at one of our many events, or if you are indeed one of the unlucky ones who we have supported in your claim against Mercedes. Please just stop, think and hit the donation button below and leave us a small donation, we don’t ask much but the price of a coffee goes a long way to achieving the clubs aims and ambitions.
Thank you in advance
