Our SLK is called Mercy – stolen from a book , she was bought on my wife’s birthday after a decision for some top down motoring that wasn’t on  a motorcycle . She had only one previous owner which was lady and she’s in pretty good condition. She has a 7G gearbox , airscarf ( a must) , Comand system and DAB radio ( need to learn what it does) and a mirror package but sadly no puddle lights .  

We live in the Cotswolds and there’s some great roads around here, we have been on the inaugural Brum run with Scott Smith. We recently made a snap decision to go to Inverness to see the Northern lights, seven and a half hours later we had done 483 miles to our friends house, however it was cloudy that night so no lights! Came back over the Cairngorms via a hotel stop in Glenshee , car ran like a dream and returned 51 mpg over the 1000 mile trip in three days . I have found the SLK owners club is very friendly and welcoming, recommended by my Brother in law who is also a member with a R171. It’s the first car in my life I have put in a garage !
