A cold wet Sunday saw 39 cars and 52 members gather at Mercedes Benz World for a Sunday of fun. On arrival we gathered in the Brookland’s Hotel bar for coffee, before proceeding across to the Mercedes Benz World Building where members were free to do their own thing. There was every type of Mercedes on display from the early 1900’s to Modern day. Mercedes racing pedigree is well displayed too with all the F1 cars and examples of DTM Touring cars. All the past and present AMG range is fully displayed too, and if your chequebook is large enough there is an inhouse dealer so you can order your new car or buys a used one. Out on track we were treated to a Black series SLS and a Black Series C63 playing catch me if you can, there were several attempts at driving the wet circle (Most failed) Most people enjoyed a very nice lunch in either the café or the bistro at very reasonable prices and then carried on to view the remainder of the exhibits they had not seen. A great day was had by all and a big thanks to Carolyn Stallard for organizing.
